Imagine being able to tour a hospital before even arriving, or being able to experience what it’s like to lay in a CT scanner weeks before your appointment.
If brand and marketing firm Primacy has its way, those virtual reality experiences will become a part of everyday health care, and the Connecticut-based company is working with Tufts Medical Center to bring those ideas to reality.
“On the health care perspective, it’s better delivery of health care experiences,” said Jeff Johnson, senior vice president of strategic practices for Primacy’s Boston offices. “One area hospitals are starting to see the value is someone delivering platelets or receiving chemo. If you can transport them out of the experience they are in to a different one from an escapism standpoint, there is a lot of great value there to the effectiveness of the delivery of health care.”
