Here are the 10 best-funded startups in the hot world of robotics


Robots may or may not replace your job in the future, but funding of startups working on them hit a record high last year. And that happened despite a slowdown in deal making in the sector in last year’s second half that extended into the first quarter of this year, according to investment research firm CB Insights. The firm’s deal and funding count excludes drones. The amount raised by robotics companies rose 115 percent last year to about $588 million in more than 80 deals.
