Physiotherapist Teresa Arocena (L) exercises a patient with an innovative medical treatment that uses virtual reality created to re-train people with balance disorders on December 20, 2010 in Montevideo. Uruguayan Medicaa company developed a Balance Rehabilitation Unit –made out of a virtual reality headgear with an inertial unit and dedicated softare– to treat patients with these disorders by means of a therapy called “Motor Coordination Retraining”.
